We were asked by the general manager at Lanelay Hall if we could construct a bespoke One-of-a-Kind design for a sliding door set for his new project of his infinity spa pool.
Jonathan explained his vision to achieve for his project and we took that vision to design a unique “wavy glass” set of doors – A First in the world.
Automatic sliding door solution
Our team of technical engineers and designers brainstormed how we could get the best solution for Jonathan; we needed a premium look to go along with its surroundings but also needed to be practical and efficient.
The design of the door speaks for itself; it is unique, modern, and sleek. The doors were constructed from Frosted Toughened glass with full Pocket door safety.
This Hotel and Spa automatic door is designed for constant use as they receive a high levels of customer traffic using the spa as well as the staff. These doors make a statement and make the pool entrance of the spa look more appealing to the customers and to the people passing by.
One of the challenges for us was getting the wavy doors to match exactly when in the close position as there are multiple meeting faces.
The 2nd Interesting question was how to activate the door and have full safety in a wet environment. The inner side of the doors leads straight onto the infinity pool. (Side Note: This was the largest 3 side infinity pool Jacuzzi in Wales)
We integrated waterproof NFC Tag technology and Various safety sensor devices to give a secure & Safe access to the pool users.
The result – A unique wavy sliding automatic door that makes the pool entrance as well as the spa look modern and calming.
As the door opens to welcome the users, they pass through a small glass corridor where they meet a waterfall (yes, a waterfall!) that is turned off by the system to allow the user to enter this dreamy pool setting.

Following the installation of the Hotel and Spa automatic doors, the customers and staff absolutely loved the feel of their new entrance and were beyond pleased.
It has attracted and intrigued more customers through the new installation of the sleek automatic door entrance of the pool area.
