Intro
David Noble the Facilities Manager at the Ebbw Vale Health Centre got in touch with us to request a new automatic door installation. It needed to be installed on the rear side of the building. They wanted to create easier access for their patients and knew we would be able to help them with that.
Problem
They had a concrete path at the rear of the institution, but only an existing window and fire escape door. Meaning, the patients had to pass through the main entrance, which was also shared by the pharmacy. This resulted in additional congestion and a greater walk for the patients.
Automatic Door Installation Solution
I attended the site with Dave to survey and discuss our options. After a walk around of the building, our choice was clear. We needed to utilise the present window space as a new door leaf and a half-automatic door installation was required. Its location was ideal as it was in the direction of the concrete path. By opening this space it allowed lots of natural light to fill the room. The only thing that the customer needed to do was to raise the path up to the new doorway. This is to allow their patients a clearer entry point.

Feedback
Thanks to the J Manny team. From the start of the project to the finish we have been clearly communicated with. They kept us informed of everything that needed to happen with the automatic door installation and when. The engineers themselves that attended the site were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. They were conscientious and just went about their work safely and thoroughly. Thanks again the health centre and its patrons are really pleased with the final outcome.
