Intro – Bi-Parting door
Jonathan from Coates English Willow contacted us to discuss options as they have built a new visitor centre and wanted the best options for his doors. When we visited the site, we knew exactly what would both look great and meet their needs, an automatic Bi-Parting door.
Problem
We love these new build projects so the team went ahead and discussed the many different options he could have, the problem was that he had too many. We then delved a bit further and discussed precisely what Jonathan was trying to achieve: to have an entrance that was friendly access and modern looking.
Solution
We took the information that Jonathan had given us and came up with the automatic Bi-Parting door design which was not only modern but was easily accessible to all. We also discussed this option would help support the energy efficiency of the doors by being Bi-parting and having the door cycles quicker than that of the swing to reduce the heat etc leaving the building.

The bi-parting sliding doors take up very little space when open, making them the ideal choice for retail spaces or narrow areas where accessibility and customer flow are important. They are more reliable as there is no wear and tear on a hinge and less abuse as the doors are retracted across a wall or screen.
