The Building had manual swing doors on the main entrances. Sherman Theatre has numerous members coming in and out each day. They needed user friendly, easy access with the ability to handle high volumes of pedestrian traffic for their building.

The solution for Sherman Theatres requirements; J Manny Ltd designed, supplied and installed new automatic sliding doors to the theatres entrance. The design of the door is very sleek and professional. The materials used for the door were constructed from glass and aluminium metal framed door. These doors will remain firm and sturdy, and free from corrosion with any of the weather circumstances.
This automatic door system deployed is designed for continuous use as they receive a numerous number of members, customers, and staff each day. These doors make the building look more attractive to passers by and to customers, staff etc.
The Technical Hurdles to overcome were removing the existing doors and reverse installing an automatic sliding door system into existing curtain walling.
The good news was that J Manny are experts in door automation. Bespoke fitting plates allowed the operator to be seamlessly installed along the existing framework, combined with a door design to mirror the horizontal bar design of the façade.
The Result – An automatic sliding door system that looked like it had always been there since the building was constructed.
The outcome:
After the new automatic sliding doors were fitted, the people of Sherman Theatre and the managers were very pleased. It has attracted more customers through providing a welcoming entrance and has had nothing but positive feedback from them.
Now the theatre can welcome all customers and patrons for Unaided access to the arts.
